It has been a busy year for the Scottish Arts and Humanities Alliance!
In 2023-24, SAHA made considerable progress in advancing its mission of providing a public and collective voice to the arts and humanities in the context of Higher Education in Scotland.
The Alliance’s efforts were clearly visible in its growing membership (now 17 members) and increased engagement from the public, key policymakers, and international partners.
During its third year of funding, SAHA continued to build excellent relationships with its sister alliances in the UK and abroad and consolidate its positive collaborations with UK-wide bodies such as the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)
The activities of the Alliance continued to be generously supported on a voluntary basis by the co-chairs (Professor Catherine O’Leary and Professor Murray Pittock), steering group and staff at member institutions.
