On June 26th, the Scottish Arts and Humanities Alliance hosted its third annual joint roundtable with the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
Hosted by SAHA co-Chairs Professor Catherine O’Leary and Professor Murray Pittock MAE FRSE and AHRC Executive Chair Professor Christopher Smith FRSE FSA, FRHistS the event provided an excellent opportunity to all SAHA members to have a fruitful and open conversation on policy, strategy and outlook in the context of higher education in Scotland and the UK.
The event, which took place in the Royal Society of Edinburgh, is part of the Alliance’s strategy to provide a united, public voice on matters relating to the arts and humanities in Scotland and advocate for the sector, enhancing understanding of their intellectual, creative, and social as well as economic, contribution to the wellbeing and advancement of Scottish society.
