The Scottish Graduate School of Arts and Humanities will celebrate its 10th anniversary on October 3rd, 2024.
As the first national graduate school of Arts and Humanities, SGSAH started from the necessity of the academic landscape and changing funding environment of the time.
SAHA co-chair Professor Murray Pittock was instrumental in the creation of SGSAH. In the video below, Professor Pittock recalls how the National Graduate School was “born” ten years ago.

To mark the occasion, SGSAH published “2014-24 SGSAH 10 Year Review”, where you can read about their developments, activities and achievements from over the past 10 years. These include creative and collaborative work from the doctoral community and international scholars, external partners, staff additions and an array of in-person and online events.
