Scottish Arts and Humanities co-chair Professor Murray Pittock MAE FRSE met with the Minister for Higher and Further Education, Graeme Dey MSP, yesterday (2nd May).
During the meeting, Professor Pittock provided a comprehensive introduction to SAHA, an overview of the state of the Scottish Arts and Humanities, and SAHA’s aims for the future.
Mr Graeme Day was appointed Minister for Higher and Further Education in March 2023.
Professor Pittock said:
“I am very thankful to the Minister for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with SAHA.
“SAHA exists to provide the arts and humanities in Scotland with a single voice, overcoming the historic weakness of the separation of small departments or subjects with key interests in common. I am delighted the Minister wanted to hear our collective voice and showed great interest in the arts and humanities.”
